Gift Cards & Prepaid Visa Cards Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction & Scope

These Gift Cards and Prepaid Visa Cards Terms and Conditions (“Gift Card Terms”) govern the purchase, activation, use, redemption, reload, administration, suspension, cancellation, and other aspects of gift cards, prepaid Visa cards, virtual cards, reloadable cards, and related stored-value products offered through Meeky Cart (“Gift Card Services”).

These Gift Card Terms form part of the broader Meeky Cart Terms and Conditions and apply to every customer, account holder, recipient, cardholder, beneficiary, or other person who purchases, receives, activates, accesses, loads, reloads, or attempts to use a gift card or prepaid card made available through Meeky Cart.

2. Company & Service Structure

Meeky Cart is operated primarily from South Africa by Meeky Store, Registration Number 2024/410471, 16 Boschendal St, Sandton, Gauteng, 2196, South Africa, together with associated international offices in the UK (Sheffield) and USA (Miami). Availability of specific card products depends on country of residence, identity verification status, and regulatory requirements.

3. Nature of Prepaid & Gift Card Products

Meeky Cart offers stored-value products including: digital gift cards, promotional vouchers, prepaid virtual Visa cards, reloadable cards, and store credits.

4. Meeky Cart-Only & Ecosystem Cards

Certain Visa cards offered through Meeky Cart are configured for use within the Meeky Cart ecosystem. Where a card is designated as a Meeky Cart prepaid card, the card may only be used for eligible transactions on Meeky Cart and participating services. The fact that a card displays the Visa brand does not automatically mean that the card can be used at external third-party merchant terminals or ATMs unless expressly authorized.

5. Purchase, Activation & Balance Reloads

5. Eligibility

Cardholders must meet minimum age requirements, have legal capacity, provide accurate personal details, and comply with all applicable compliance, KYC, and AML identity verification checks where required by card program rules.

6. Purchase & 7. Activation

When purchasing a card, you are responsible for reviewing denominations ($5 to $1,000 USD or local equivalent), fees, expiration periods (5-year extended validity from issuance), and recipient information. Virtual cards are delivered immediately to the recipient email and Meeky Cart account wallet.

8. Card Balance & 9-10. Reloadable Cards

Available balance represents stored purchasing value. For reloadable cards, cardholders may top up balance at any time subject to minimum and maximum reload limits, daily caps, and fraud prevention screening.

11. Card Security, Lost Cards & Unauthorized Use

Virtual cards and credentials (16-digit card number, 5-year expiration date, CVV code) are delivered electronically to the customer's email and account dashboard. Ensure recipient emails are spelled correctly.

13. Cardholder Security Responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your 16-digit card number, CVV code, expiration date, and account credentials strictly confidential. Never share credentials with third parties. Meeky Cart staff will never ask for your full CVV or password in unsolicited communications.

14. Lost, Stolen or Compromised Cards & 15. Unauthorized Charges

Report compromised cards immediately to info@meekycart.com. Meeky Cart can freeze affected cards to prevent further unauthorized usage while an investigation is conducted.

16. Fraud Prevention, Prohibited Uses & Fees

Prohibited Activity (17): Cards must not be used for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, payment fraud, stolen fund conversion, or artificial commission generation.

No Cash Redemption & No Interest (18-19): Stored card value cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred outside authorized channels, and does not earn interest.

Issuance & Administrative Fees (20): Applicable card issuance fees (if configured), foreign exchange rates, or reload charges will be clearly displayed before completing checkout.

21. Expiration, Limits & Refund Restrictions

Currencies & Global Use (21-22): Cards are typically denominated in USD or ZAR. Currency conversions are calculated at prevailing processor exchange rates.

Gift Card Refunds & Non-Transferability (24-27): Once issued, delivered, funded, or activated, gift cards and reload transactions are generally non-refundable and non-transferable between accounts except where required by law.

Expiration Date (29): Meeky Cart Virtual Visa Prepaid Gift Cards are issued with an extended validity of 5 full years (60 months) from the date of activation.

31. AML Compliance & Third-Party Issuer Rules

Anti-Money Laundering & KYC (37-38): Enhanced compliance verification may be required for high-value card purchases or reloads to comply with financial crime prevention regulations.

Visa Network & Issuer Terms (39-40): Where cards utilize the Visa payment network or third-party issuing partners, cardholders are subject to network operating rules and issuer regulations.

41. Liability Limitations & Consumer Protections

Meeky Cart is not liable for losses resulting from customer compromise of card credentials, unauthorized sharing, merchant terminal rejections, or network interruptions beyond reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer protection laws.
